You can visit Grand Canaria if you want to enjoy beautiful beaches and go swimming. Besides, Tenerife offers great hiking trails, so you can experience some outdoor adventures, too. Hike up to Spain’s highest mountain, Teide (a volcano).

The Algarve in Portugal is another warm region you can enjoy in November. There are several places where you can stay, Portimão. It’s in the middle, so you’ll be close to the unique sights, such as the Carvoeiro boardwalk, Algar Seco, and Benagil Cave, to admire the most stunning rock formations.

Ksamil is in southern Albania, known as the Caribbean of Europe. It has some of the most beautiful beaches on the continent, and it’s still warm and cheap in November.

It might rain a lot though, so check the weather forecast before visiting.

This list couln’t be completed without mentioning our beloved Greece. Of course, Greece is on everyone’s bucket list. And you would make the best travel decision, putting your visit off for November.

7. Seville

Seville is hands down one of my top 3 favorite cities in Europe. It’s one of the cities where you can still walk around with light summer clothes. I visited it in December, and it was perfect.

The city has a rich history and culture, and you can admire three different ethnical districts: Christian, Muslim, and Jewish. It’s amazing how these three groups managed to live together.

Nowadays, you can see different architectural styles and enjoy the bustling streets with Spanish delicacies.

November is also a great time to make this southern Spain road trip itinerary and visit even more beautiful places in Andalusia.

Porto is my favorite city in Portugal. It has its vibe and culture that you have to experience. Bring a jacket as it might be windier in November. But you can always go for a glass of delicious dessert wine, Porto, to keep you warm.

Enjoy stunning culture or make a day trip to the Douro Valley and learn about the local wine production. There is so much to do and see.

Barcelona is always a good choice for a city gateway, no matter the time of the year. It attracts visitors all year round, and November is not an exception. I lived in the city for a year, and November was one of my favorite months.

It’s calm, yet many events are still happening. If you don’t know where to go, you’ll be amazed by Barcelona in November. It’ll give you a great mixture of sightseeing, delicious food and drinks, and you can even go swimming and spend some time on the beach.

Visit one of the smallest countries in Europe and its rich hub with the casino, Monte Carlo. If you want to enjoy a bit of luxury, go to Monaco. It’s still warm at this time of the year. You can make day trips to other parts of the French Riviera or spend a day on a yacht.

Florence is one of my favorite cities in Italy. And November is a great time to visit it. While temperatures drop, the weather is still pleasant, and prices are significantly lower.

Make it your base and go for a small road trip around Tuscany. Visit local wineries and enjoy the misty mornings with breathtaking views.

12. Prague

Prague is amazing all year round. If you want to visit Europe’s most beautiful city, this place should be your choice. Not only can you enjoy cheap and delicious beer, it offers many stunning sights, from the Prague Castle to the St. Vitus Cathedral, the Astronomical Clock, and the main square.

One of the benefits is that you can already experience Christmas Markets at the beginning of December. So come at the end of November and wait for the markets to start on the 2nd of December this year.

13. Helsinki

Helsinki doesn’t get a lot of pride, which is a shame. When I visited the city, I had the same feelings about this place on my first day. I thought, ough, this city is strange, with not many nice sights, what will I do here? But then I did a guided tour and… I changed my mind.

Helsinki is an exciting city and deserves more recognition. It’s all about the experiences. You can learn about the interesting history, taste local cuisine with tradition in the Restaurant Savotta, and warm up in the Finish sauna (I recommend Löyly).

Besides, Fins are the happiest people in the world, so we have something to learn from them. Come visit Helsinki and hear stories from locals.

Another city choice you can make as a traveler and can’t go wrong in November is Salzburg. This beautiful royal town will surprise you with its Fortress up on the hill with breathtaking Alps views.

You can also experience the Christmas Markets, one of the most beautiful in Europe. If you get colder, visit one of the Austrian cafes and sip hot chocolate with a traditional Sacher Cake.

Speaking about sweets, you should visit Brussels. If you’re a foodie and want to enjoy a tiny European city, you’ll love the capital of Belgium. Come here and admire its beautiful Town Hall. Visit the Peeing Man and see whether he is dressed for a special occasion.

If you’re looking for adventure and outdoor activities, these are the best places I recommend you visit. You can take your entire family if every member has different interests. These places offer a bit for everyone, not just for you, adventurous souls.

16. Swiss Mountains

I could spend my life in the Swiss mountains. It’s a great place to be even in November, but check out the weather forecast before visiting. It might be gloomy and rainy, and the first snow falls. But it’s one of the best places in Europe in November to enjoy nature and mountains.

Among the best mountains you should visit are Schilthorn, Glacier 3000°, Mt. Titlis, and Mt. Pilatus.

If the weather isn’t good, visit Jungfraujoch, the meteorological station and the highest train station in Europe.

Tromso is the best city in Norway you can visit in November and the wintertime. It’s like the city awakes in winter. Many excursions start to see the polar light or visit the Sami inhabitants in northern Norway.

Tromso is full of adventure in November, so choose some activities such as a Sami visit, polar light chasing, dog sledding, or a reindeer visit, and have fun in Norway.

Innsbruck and its surroundings are a great place to visit in Austria. You can already go skiing in some resorts or visit the famous ski jump. It’s a nice city, so you can just stroll through its streets and learn about its history.

The Dolomites, the Alps in northern Italy, are, in my opinion, the best place to go skiing in Europe. The skiing season starts in late November, and prices are still low.

So, if you can’t wait to go skiing, visit the Dolomites with stunning views and go skiing around Marmolada, make a famous Sella Ronda ski round, or enjoy thousands of perfect skiing slopes on Kronplatz.

It’s getting cold in November in Slovenia, but Lake Bled still has much to offer. Undoubtedly, it’s one of the most beautiful places in Slovenia. And even in November, you can still enjoy some of the best things to do in Lake Bled. Go Ziplining at Zipline Dolinka until the 20th of November.

It’s just 1 hour by train or bus from Vienna. And it’s a small city, so you only need one day to experience a new culture.

Try local dishes in the Bratislava Flagship Restaurant, such as Bryndza Gnochi Gulash, and drink cheap beer. Or visit the Christmas Markets close to the Old National Theatre and go to the UFO restaurant for stunning views and drinks.
