spain travel voices of travel

Spain is one of the most surprising and diverse countries in Europe. From the beautiful Pyrenees mountains and coastal towns in the north, the exciting cities with unique architecture, to the best beaches… it offers a lot.

I lived in Barcelona, Spain, for 2 years. First, I spent half a year studying and living in Barcelona during my exchange semester from my University.

Then, I returned to live in Barcelona and worked for the US tour operator.

Besides, I was traveling extensively throughout the entire country. Once, my friends and I went on a road trip through Catalonia. The other time, we rented a car and explored the entire Andalusia (southern Spain).

I walked the Camino de Santiago twice. The first was the Camino Frances with my 2 friends, which took us 3 weeks. The second time, I spent a month walking the Camino Norte with my cousin from Santiago and Finisterre.

I keep coming back to Spain, exploring more places to give you even more tips.

In this Spain travel guide, I’ll share all my travel experiences from Spain so you can plan your trip and have a great time (as if you were with a local guide).

Spanish Travel Essentials

When planning your trip to Spain, consider whether you want to visit cities and admire the unique architecture, explore nature, stay on a beach, and relax, or combine it all.

Choose the places you want to see in Spain, and then read one of my articles to plan your stay in detail:

Spanish Culture

Spain has truly some of the craziest and most amazing traditions and celebrations.

Immerse into the culture of Spain, learn about the best events and how they celebrate Christmas and plan your visit to experience some of its craziest festivals.

Best Time To Visit Spain

It’s also important to visit Spain at the right time for an even better experience.

The best time to visit Spain for sightseeing is April, May, September, and October. These months are generally less crowded, and temperatures are mild, perfect for exploring.

The best time to visit Spain for beach holidays is June, July, August, and September. However, remember that these summer months are also crowded with the highest prices. Yet, you can enjoy the stunning beaches of Costa Brava or Costa del Sur.

Winter is also a great time to explore Spain, especially in December. You can experience Christmas traditions and enjoy less crowds and colder temperatures. December is one of the best months to visit Spain overall.
