Slovakia is my home country. I grew up here but left it when I was 17 to seek other opportunities in life.
We traveled a lot through Slovakia with my family and friends and did a lot of hiking and road trips. One of my favorite things was spending time in High Tatras with my dad; we always had some crazy adventures together.
High Tatras is my home; even though I was not born there nor lived there, it feels like the most home to me. And I love coming back now and then, especially as a world traveler, to experience how home really feels.

High Tatras has to be on your travel bucket list. If you don’t know or can’t decide what to visit in Slovakia, head to High Tatras.
This mountain range is one of the country’s most beautiful (if not the most) spots. You’ll be immersed in the breathtaking nature and views, relax in great wellness hotels, and eat traditional food.
One of the best experiences overall is to hike to the mountain huts or even stay overnight.
