How To Get From Paris To Barcelona By Plane: Airports & Airlines
Paris and Barcelona have several airports. So, in this section, I’ll explain everything about the airports in each city and the airlines that operate between Paris and Barcelona.
Paris Airports
Paris has 3 airports:
β Charles de Gaulle Airport
β Paris Orly Airport
β Beauvais Airport
Charles De Gaulle Airport Paris
Charles de Gaulle is the main international airport in Paris. Many flights operate from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport to Barcelona, including Easyjet, Air France, and Vueling Airlines.
It’s 31 km/19 miles away from the city center of Paris. However, it’s the main airport, and so it’s well-connected to the city center. You can easily take a train, bus, or taxi to the airport.
Paris Orly Airport
Paris Orly is a less popular airport in Paris with fewer flights. The airline that flies the most from Paris Orly to Barcelona is Vueling.
It’s 15 km/9 miles away from the city center, so it’s the airport closest to Paris. It’s also well-connected by train and bus, so taking flights from Orly is a great idea.
Paris Beauvais Airport
Paris Beauvais Airport is the one where the low-cost airlines Ryanair and Wizzair land. The airport is 18 km/11 miles from the city center, and it takes at least 30 minutes by car or 50 minutes by train/bus to get to Paris from Beauvais Airport. Once I landed at the airport and took a bus to the center, the journey was too long and exhausting, not worth it at all. So I’d rather pay more but have a faster and more comfortable journey.
Barcelona Airports
Barcelona has 2 airports:
β El-Prat Airport
β Girona-Costa Brava Airport
Barcelona El-Prat Airport
El-Prat is the main airport in Barcelona. It’s well-connected to the city center. You can take the Aerobus, a metro, a train, or a taxi and get to the center of Barcelona within 30 minutes.
Most airlines fly to El-Prat airport in Barcelona. There are many cheap flights, too.
Girona-Costa Brava Airport
Some low-cost airlines, mainly Ryanair and Wizzair, only fly to Girona-Costa Brava Airport. When you search for flights with these two airlines, it shows they fly to Barcelona. But check the airport properly, because it’s Girona Costa Brava Airport.
However, the flights from Paris mostly land at El-Prat Airport in Barcelona, so you don’t have to be worried. I just wanted to let you know that with a few flights, it is possible to land at the Girona Costa-Brava Airport.
